In order to use the public version of NINJAL-LWP for TWC (hereinafter referred to as “NLT”), the User will need to comply with the following terms and conditions of use:

1. (Copyright owner)

The copyright of Tsukuba Web Corpus (TWC) belongs to the University of Tsukuba.

The copyright of NINJAL-LWP belongs to the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics and the Lago Institute of Language.

2. (Scope of authorization)

(1) The use of NLT shall be limited to use for research and educational purposes. The User will need to separately consult with us if the User wishes to engage in the commercial use of NLT.

(2) The User is prohibited from reproducing NLT search results.

(3) The User is prohibited from encroaching on any copyright or other rights belonging to the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics, the Lago Institute of Language, the University of Tsukuba, or a third party.

3. (Public disclosure of research results)

In the event that the User wishes to publicly disclose any research results or findings obtained through the use of NLT within a scope not in contravention of Article 2 hereof, the User will need to expressly indicate that the research results or findings in question constitute research results or findings obtained through the use of NLT.

4. (Disclaimers)

Neither the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics, nor the Lago Institute of Language, nor the University of Tsukuba shall be held liable whatsoever for any damage caused through use of NLT. The specifications of NLT are subject to modification without notice by the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics, the Lago Institute of Language, or the University of Tsukuba.

5. (Other matters)

These Terms of Use may be revised in response to a change in the contents of NLT or other factors. The User should periodically verify these Terms of Use.
